Provence Wedding Inspiration Shoot in Aix-en-Provence
Discover a refined inspiration shoot in the heart of Provence — natural light, elegant styling and ideas to imagine your wedding day.

Throughout my career as a wedding photographer in Provence, I’ve had the opportunity to work in many different venues and reception spaces. In this series of articles, I share—honestly and transparently—the strengths and possible improvements of the wedding venues I discover as the seasons go by.
Today, I’m taking you to Le 3620, a venue located north-west of Aix-en-Provence, set in green surroundings, easy to reach and particularly well suited for welcoming your guests on your wedding day.

⚠️ Please note: this article reflects my perspective as a photographer, focusing on light, scenery, and spaces that allow for beautiful images. It isn’t an exhaustive analysis of the venue, as other suppliers may have very different constraints (especially caterers, who often have specific technical requirements).
Located on the Route d’Avignon, close to major roads, Le 3620 offers very convenient access and an on-site car park. This is a major advantage for your wedding—no need to worry about parking difficulties. It makes life easier for your guests… and for your suppliers!

The venue includes a spacious outdoor area, perfect for group photos, couple portraits, or an open-air cocktail reception. Lavender beds, emblematic of the region, add an authentic and photogenic touch—ideal for creating bright, natural and unmistakably Provençal images.
Elegantly decorated with wood, the terrace creates a friendly and welcoming space for your drinks reception. Its natural materials offer a warm atmosphere and give real character to the photographs.
A pleasant surprise: the toilets at Le 3620 are unexpectedly well decorated!
They blend perfectly into the venue’s aesthetic—an often overlooked detail, yet genuinely appreciated on the wedding day.

Unlike many reception halls with plain white walls, the interior of Le 3620 offers a touch of colour and beautiful natural light thanks to its large windows. It may not be a majestic ballroom, but it has genuine charm and avoids the “white box” effect that is notoriously difficult to photograph.

The property is surrounded by a ring of trees that provides soft shade from mid-afternoon onwards.
This means you don’t need to wait for the golden hour to take couple or group photos—flattering, diffused natural light is available much earlier in the day.
As a bonus, it also allows your reception to take place away from prying eyes!

In addition to the trees and flower beds, an outdoor sofa is available.
It’s perfect for creating original and intimate couple photos, breaking away from more traditional poses. For a photographer, it’s an inspiring playground.
The flowers, in particular, allow for colourful, joyful photos while maintaining a perfectly natural feel.

The venue includes a pétanque court, ideal for those who want to embrace the Provençal spirit a little further. A small decorative caravan also keeps children entertained and leads to adorable spontaneous photos.

The exterior lighting has been carefully planned to create a warm atmosphere as the sun sets.
It’s a real highlight for evening photos, which can be challenging in some venues.

While the outdoor space is extensive, the indoor hall can feel a bit small for larger weddings.
If it rains, it may be difficult to accommodate everyone comfortably.

This is something guests may not notice, but a photographer will: the outer fence is quite visible.
Nothing dramatic, but I would have preferred it to be more concealed by vegetation.

The tree line provides wonderful shade in summer, but it also blocks the view of the sunset.
As a result, it’s impossible to capture photos with the sun dipping behind the horizon.
It’s the natural compromise of the landscape.
The toolshed occasionally appears in the background of certain shots.
It’s a minor detail—easy to work around during the photo session—but I do wish it were as discreetly hidden as the toilets.

Le 3620 is a pleasant, well-designed and beautifully photogenic wedding venue—perfect for capturing bright, authentic memories. With its spacious grounds, natural decorative elements and Provençal atmosphere, it meets the expectations of both couples… and photographers!
If you’re looking for a wedding photographer familiar with Le 3620, someone able to showcase the venue and capture every emotion, I would be delighted to speak with you.
Feel free to get in touch to discuss your project and imagine the story of your day together.
