No need to panic, though—bees are usually too busy gathering nectar to pay much attention to humans. In fact, I’ve only been stung once—and that was due to my own carelessness! It was a lesson well learned.
As long as you’re respectful and cautious, the bees will leave you be.

In short, Le Tholonet is a must-visit for your Provence photos. And as a bonus, there’s a lavender field right in the village centre, just steps from the public parking. This makes it incredibly convenient for a stress-free photoshoot before heading off to enjoy a refreshing drink nearby.
One small downside: because Le Tholonet is east of Aix-en-Provence, the sunset is hidden from view. So, you won’t be able to capture the warm, golden light of the golden hour here.
