A wedding album, a keepsake for your photos and memories

Although we are surrounded by photos and images, your wedding photos remain special. Distinctive. Unique. Your wedding photos are not meant to sit on a computer hard drive. They are not simply there to be posted on social media and forgotten a few minutes later. The value of your wedding photos goes far beyond that of ordinary images, however beautiful they may be.
Your wedding photos are meant to last. To be returned to again and again, over the years and decades. To be there for you in happy moments as well as more difficult ones.
At any rate, that is my philosophy as a wedding photographer. It is how I approach my work, and the spirit in which I come to photograph your day. It is my way of doing things, and what I offer you.
That is why I offer you more than digital files.
I am, of course, a great user of digital tools, so I am certainly not going to criticise them; that would be absurd. But digital also has its limits. Its virtual, intangible nature reduces its impact. It lacks weight, presence, gravitas.
So I made the choice not to deliver photographs to the couples who trust me solely in digital format, but also in the form of a printed wedding album.
This wedding photo album is a physical, tangible object that you will be able to see and touch. You will be able to hold it in your hands, feel its weight, and run your fingers over its pages.
In this article, I am going to introduce the different types of wedding album I can offer you.
How is your wedding album designed?
Once your wedding is over, the wedding night has passed and your honeymoon has come to an end, you will receive your photographs in the form of an online gallery. The process is very simple: all you need to do is follow the link and log-in details I send you in order to access all of your wedding photos. You will be able to download them in high resolution, share the link with your guests so they can view them too, or set certain photographs to private if you would prefer your loved ones not to see them.
An online gallery to rediscover your wedding photos
This gallery is designed as a first way of reliving your day. It allows you to take your time rediscovering each moment, at your own pace, before moving on to the creation of your wedding photo album.
Choosing the photos for your wedding album
This step is designed so that you can take your time. Settle down together under a blanket with a cup of tea, or in the shade of a tree with a chilled glass of rosé, depending on the season, and enjoy your wedding photos.
Really enjoy them. This is a moment for the two of you. A moment to relive your wedding day and reconnect with the emotions of that unique occasion.
Then, once you have truly taken it all in, once you have had time to reflect and come back to your gallery several times, you will be able to choose the photographs you would like to include in your wedding album.
Again, the process is very simple. You go back into the gallery and add your selected images to your favourites. Once your selection is complete, all you need to do is contact me to let me know it is ready.
Can you include text in a wedding photo album?
People do not always think about it, but your wedding photo album can of course include text as well. Not just any text, though: it needs to have real meaning for you. Naturally, one thinks of the speeches you or your loved ones gave during the wedding. But it could also be a poem, a few words exchanged before the ceremony, or a piece of writing that matters deeply in your story.
You simply need to send them to me, and I will make sure they are carefully incorporated into your wedding album.
Designing the layout of your wedding album
Once you have finished selecting your photographs, you can put your feet up and leave the rest to me. More specifically, I take care of the album layout. My aim is not only to arrange the photographs in a way that is pleasing to the eye, but also to tell the most beautiful story of all: yours.
I may occasionally suggest a few adjustments to your photo selection, generally because I cannot find a harmonious way to include certain images in the album. Of course, you always have the final say.
Once the layout is complete, I send you a proposal in PDF format. Again, take the time to think it over and come back to it with fresh eyes. You can then ask me for any changes you would like, or approve the design so that I can move on to printing.
Printing your wedding photo album
To have your wedding photo album printed, I work with a French printer who is well known and highly respected by photographers for the quality of their work. The products they deliver are of an excellent standard. Above all, the colours are printed exactly as they appear on my screen, which is specially calibrated.
I have complete confidence in this printer. I know of only one case of a printing fault, and a second copy was sent out free of charge without delay.
Delivery and quality control for your wedding album
Once the album has been printed, it is delivered to me. Even though I trust the printer completely, I want to carry out one final quality check myself so that you do not have to worry about a thing.
After that, I either send it to you by post or, if you do not live too far away, I come and deliver it to you in person. It is always a pleasure to see the couples who have trusted me again, and I also have that slightly selfish pleasure of seeing your joy in person when you discover your wedding album.
The types of wedding album I offer

I offer two types of wedding album. Both have in common excellent quality and a lasting format for your wedding photos. But each has its own character.
The hardcover wedding album

The first type of wedding album I offer is a 70-page hardcover album measuring 22 cm wide by 29 cm high. I chose a satin-finish hard cover that is durable and resistant, along with premium satin paper that feels especially pleasant to the touch.
This wedding photo album is roughly the size of a graphic novel, which means it fits easily onto a bookshelf. Its 70 pages can hold up to 300 photographs, which is more than enough to tell the story of your wedding day, although I would generally recommend keeping it closer to 200.

The layflat wedding album

This is the premium option, even a high-end wedding album. The layflat wedding album has the special feature, as its name suggests, of opening completely flat. This means the photographs can be displayed across both pages at once, making the most of the available space.
The layflat wedding photo album I have chosen comes in a square format, measuring 30 cm on each side. The advantage of this format is that, when the album is open, it becomes a 60 cm by 30 cm rectangle, allowing your photographs to be displayed at a very large size.
The paper has a lustre finish to enhance your photographs, and there is a textured endpaper that feels incredibly pleasing to the touch.
Although more substantial, this album can paradoxically hold fewer photographs, because each image can spread across a larger surface. I therefore chose for my layflat albums to be 90 pages long, allowing up to 200 photographs to be included. That said, I would recommend selecting noticeably fewer than that in order to preserve an even stronger visual impact.

Parent copies of your wedding photo album
Alongside the layflat album, I can also offer parent copies. In practical terms, this is exactly the same album, just in a smaller size. It is therefore a square format measuring 14 cm on each side.
The idea is that you can give this wedding photo album to your parents, or to those who matter most to you, so that they too can keep a beautiful memory of your wedding.
Why choose a wedding photo album rather than a simple digital folder?
Choosing a wedding photo album is not simply choosing a format. It is choosing a way to experience your memories. An album can be leafed through, shared, passed on. It does not depend on a forgotten password, a replaced phone, or a computer that has broken down.
It gives your story a tangible presence. It allows your wedding photos to take their rightful place in your life, rather than remaining lost among thousands of other files.
A wedding album designed to make your memories last
Your wedding photos tell far more than the story of a single day. They tell of glances, gestures, presences, an atmosphere, a bond. To my mind, they deserve better than simple digital storage.
That is why I offer wedding albums designed to last, to be leafed through, revisited, shared and passed on. Albums created to give your memories a tangible form, and to keep your story alive long after the wedding day itself.
Would you like to learn more about your wedding album?
If this approach speaks to you and you would like to know more about my wedding albums, my collections or the way I tell the story of your day, I invite you to get in touch. I would be delighted to talk with you and imagine a wedding album that truly feels like you.
FAQ – Everything you need to know about your wedding album in Provence
How much do your wedding albums cost?
My wedding albums are included in my collections. The price therefore depends on the coverage you choose and the type of album you select. If you would like to know more, get in touch and I will explain in detail what is included, as well as the different options available.
Can the cover of a wedding album be personalised?
Yes, absolutely. Personalising the cover is one of the options I can offer so that your wedding album truly feels like your own. Simply tell me what you have in mind, and I will guide you towards an elegant solution that fits your story.
How many photos can be included in a wedding album?
The number of photos depends on the type of album you choose and on the layout. A hardcover wedding album can hold a large number of images, while a layflat wedding album gives each photograph more space, which naturally reduces the total number. In every case, I help you find the right balance between a rich visual story and a comfortable reading experience.
How do you choose the photos for your wedding photo album?
The selection process is very simple and takes place through your online gallery. You can take all the time you need to look through your wedding photos as many times as you like, then add your favourites. Once your selection is complete, you simply let me know, and I can begin designing your wedding photo album.
Can I ask for changes before the album is printed?
Yes. Before anything is printed, I send you a PDF design proof of your wedding album. This allows you to take your time, review the layout carefully and ask for any changes if needed. Printing only begins once you have approved everything.
Can text be included in a wedding album?
Yes, a wedding album can absolutely include text. It might be a speech, a poem, a few words exchanged during the day, or any piece of writing that has special meaning for you. It is a lovely way to make your album even more personal and even more faithful to your story.
What is the difference between a hardcover album and a layflat album?
A hardcover album is an elegant, practical format that is easy to keep on a bookshelf. A layflat album is more premium: it allows photographs to be displayed across a full double-page spread, creating a more immersive and striking result. Both are beautifully made, but they do not offer quite the same visual experience.
Do you offer parent copies of the wedding album?
Yes, I can offer parent copies alongside the main layflat album. They are exactly the same album, just in a smaller format, designed to be given to your parents or loved ones. It is a lovely way to share a tangible memory of your wedding with the people who matter most to you.
Do you hand-deliver wedding albums in Provence?
Yes, whenever possible. If you live in Aix-en-Provence, Marseille, Toulon or elsewhere in Provence, I may be able to hand-deliver your wedding album in person. Otherwise, I send it to you with great care after carrying out one final quality check myself.
Do you create wedding photo albums for couples married in Aix-en-Provence, Marseille or Toulon?
Yes, absolutely. As a wedding photographer in Provence, I work with couples getting married in Aix-en-Provence, Marseille, Toulon and across the region. The wedding photo albums I offer are designed to showcase your day beautifully, wherever you said yes.
Why choose a wedding photo album rather than a simple digital folder?
A wedding photo album gives your memories a tangible presence. It can be leafed through, shared and passed on much more easily than a simple folder stored on a computer or phone. It is also a way of giving your wedding photos the place they truly deserve in your everyday life.
